 Time to catch you all up with what has been going on in the studio. My focus with painting this year has been how to layer the colors- and focusing on what I leave to show through.   Flow and transparency was last year. I thought it would be fun to add some color swatch ideas to some of my paintings.

This painting will not upload the correct way, which is 90 degrees to the right!  This on is in progress and will be available for sale later in January 2013!  "Aviary" sold in December 2012.  This one was hard to say goodbye to.  One of my favorite paintings so far! This one is turning into another one of my favorites and will be available later this month.  It is a 24"x60"  landscape/abstract "Rustic Rose" 24"x36" sold on Christmas Day! A completed commission from December!

I am currently doing 5 commissions.  Sold 11 paintings since September (5 are commission) and was able to meet last years sales in 3 months!  I'm very excited about that.  Things are looking up :)

"The Aviary" 60''x24'' By:  Heather Howell My newest painting is completed.  It sold on December 4th, 2012.  This painting looks completely different in the dim light.  When you dim the light the birds show up. :)
